This more or less is my opinion. I hate it. I have to use Java at my job. And I had to realize most Java developers did not understand OOP. In my opinion, it is possible to write "good" software in Java, but there are far better languages. I am from the pascal world. So what I really want to try is http://www.remobjects.com/

I liked it too, until I tried Python. Nothing comes close. I agree though, of the languages you listed, Java is far and away better and more fun to use.

Wow. I enjoyed reading your opinions, but I sure do like programming in Java- so much that I do it at home as well as at work. It's an awesome toolbox for creating any kind of application! I've used C, C++, Pascal, assemblers, and some other languages, but nothing even comes close to Java.
