Hello, I use windows stachmo, as a server with apache 2.2. Install python 2.5 can be run properly, but can not run python2.6. Is that why? Error:

Fixed. It was a tar file. I’ve repacked as a zip.

Actually, it looks almost *exactly* the same as setting up on a Red Hat box. In fact with Red Hat you don’t need to build things like psycopg2, PIL or ReportLab.

There’s a few things that are easier to do on one distro vs the other, but I don’t think many Python apps fall into that category (especially since the advent of easy_install).

Awesome write up Bruce. It’s cool to see how other folks go about setting things up. I learned a few things.

One note, it looks like there’s an extra ln -s line in step 26.
