I’ve been programming since age 12, and I’ve been a professional since 1990. The amazing thing is that I still love it. There is nothing like else quite like the perfect flow state that I tap into when I am solving an interesting and difficult problem.

I started this site to participate in the online programming community. With a few exceptions, I try to stay positive, link and discuss topics that I actually like and find valuable. I’ve been amazed at how much traffic the site receives, and inspired to write more.
